The Standing Commission of the Local Police is involved in several advisory bodies such as the Integrated Police Coordination Committee or the Police Federal Council.
Following the Law of 26 March 2014on optimisation measures for Belgian police services, an Integrated Police Coordination Committee was created. It is made up of the President and Vice-Presidents of the Standing Commission of the Local Police (the "Daily Management Bureau") and of the Federal Police's Management Committee members.
The composition of "JUSTIPOL" is governed by the Law of 26 March 2014 on optimization measures for Belgian police services introduced by Article 8 quater.
The Police Federal Council provides advice to the Belgian Ministers of Home Affairs and Justice, particularly on the draft National Security Plan (NSP) of which the implementation is regularly being assessed by the PFC.
